Valentigney is a town and commune in the Doubs département, in the region of Franche-Comté, formerly Montbeliard, of eastern France.
Valentigney is most well known as the place where Peugeot began operations; several members of the Peugeot family still live in the area.
During the 1800s and into the early 1900s, many Montbeliardaise from Valentigney and neighboring areas emigrated to northwest Ohio, particularly Williams County.
